We gather for an afternoon with the intention to listen to each other in our challenges, pains and joys. The format is based on an ancient custom in the Palestine where community members would provide ‘listeners’ – people from the community who designate themselves as being prepared to listen to others as their top priority that day. We will create a structure for he group in which there are listeners and sharers for the afternoon. The purpose is to re-claim the art of listening, foster authentic communication in the community and start to form a safe place where all can share what’s in our hearts.
